Carter ClewsCarter L. Clews

Carter L. Clews is an internationally acclaimed public relations and marketing expert with major clients in both the private and public sectors. An award-winning copywriter, he is one of only 20 recipients of the infomercial industry’s coveted NIMA Award for Scriptwriting Excellence.

Mr. Clews begin his public relations career as the director of communications for the National Right to Work Committee, the nation’s largest public interest organization. There, he scripted the award-winning documentary, “The Scepter of Violence.” In the early 1980s, Mr. Clews became director of communications for the United States Senate Conference of the Majority.

After introducing the first-ever radio actuality systems and satellite video feeds from the US Senate, Mr. Clews left the political arena to join the prestigious Gray & Company public relations and lobbying firm, serving as the first director of the public relations division. Mr. Clews left Gray & Company in the late 1980s to open up his own Washington-based PR/marketing firm, Clews & Company, whose clients included American Express, PBS, and the Washington Times.

In the mid-1990s, Mr. Clews became the creative director of Inphomation, Inc, one of the nation’s largest producers of infomercials. There he won awards for scripting the fastest selling fishing lure infomercial, the largest selling female relationship infomercial, and the only $1 billion self-help infomercial in television history.  While at Inphomation, Mr. Clews also wrote direct mail copy generating more than $20 million annually in sports information marketing.

Entering the freelance direct response market, Mr. Clews was responsible for producing copy to sell major financial services, as well as offshore properties throughout Latin America. His financial services copy was credited with creating one of the nation’s leading venture capital clubs. His offshore property copy generated more than 1700 leads (triple the average) for a top Caribbean resort community.

In 2002, Mr. Clews joined the Viguerie Company to pioneer direct response political email marketing. Creating what became known as the “Laptop Lobbying Template,” the Clews team developed the embedded hotlink insert and the “instafax” fundraising technique later utilized widely in the political arena.

In 2007, Mr. Clews became the director of communications for Americans for Limited Government where his introduced the concept of Internet-driven broadband journalism. He most recently served as the director of marketing for The Washington Times, where his direct marketing program doubled the newspaper’s print circulation in less two month. Mr. Clews has public and private sector clients in the US and Latin America.


Jonathan SlevinJonathan Slevin

Jonathan Slevin has served as chief executive for a number of private and non-profit organizations and as a senior executive in marketing/communications with others. He restructured The Washington Times newspaper and digital news organization as president and publisher in 2009 - 2010, and serves as general manager of Champon Millennium Chemicals, a manufacturer of all natural, plant-based agricultural pesticides based in Alexandria, Virginia and Bordeaux, France. Jonathan is experienced with launches, organizational and financial structuring, recruitment, marketing and communications, government relations and product development. Domestic and global private companies and public corporations, non-profit organizations and associations covering consumer and business markets have engaged Mr. Slevin's services. He is particularly adept at assessing organizations needing significant change and then moving from vision to strategy to implementation. He is the author of a number of books, magazine articles, and is a frequent speaker. Jonathan divides his time between Washington, DC and San Jose, Costa Rica.


Mike CobbMike Cobb

At the height of a successful career in the computer industry, Mr. Cobb left to pursue more pioneering opportunities in the emerging real estate markets of Central America.  In 1996, he and his business partner formed a company, Exotic Caye International, to provide loans to North Americans purchasing properties in Belize, Honduras and throughout the region.  As the need for capital outstripped the supply, the mortgage company was converted to an international bank under the jurisdiction of Belize.  It continues to provide mortgage services, but has expanded its services to encompass the full realm of financial products. 

Mr. Cobb also saw the need for a regional real estate company that would serve the Baby Boomer consumer with a North American standard product for the next 2 decades.  He led the group into real estate development and created a holding company for several properties including a resort on Ambergris Caye, Belize.  In August of 2000, Exotic Caye purchased 3.5 miles of Pacific Beachfront property due west of Managua, Nicaragua.  This master planned community hosts world class infrastructure, homes and condominium units.  In February of 2006, the ECI Development group acquired 1100 acres and 3km of coastline in Costa Rica, setting the stage for expansion into this popular market.  Most recently they merged their Belize property with a much larger parcel and have begun to develop 200 condominiums units on Ambergris Caye, Belize. 

Additionally, Mike Cobb has spoken at hundreds of international conferences about real estate financing and development.  He has acted as a consultant to The Oxford Club and gives counsel to various real estate projects throughout Central America.  Since 2002, Mike, his wife Carol, and 2 daughters, Amanda and Emily make their home in Managua, Nicaragua. 


Larry Ward Larry Ward

Larry Ward brings over two decades of marketing and advertising experience to GLC.

In 2006, Larry used cutting edge political ads to help pass nine eminent domain property rights initiatives across the US. He was also successful in a number of local, congressional and statewide primary elections.

He was selected to work on several presidential campaign both in the US and abroad. with several influential PAC's, the US Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, he consulted on five victorious Senate campaigns and fourteen top tier congressional races.

In the corporate world, Larry has consulted over 50 Fortune 1,000 companies and hundreds of small to mid-size firms.

Currently, he sits on the Board of Directors of four internet and direct marketing companies, the Social Security Institute and is a regular contributer to several political and new media publications.

Larry is a New York City native and attended Dowling College where he studied business and advertising.


Amanda Flontek

Amanda Flontek is the Director of Press Relations for the Global Land Consortium and the Caribbean Life Club. Ms. Flontek is the co-founder of Intuitive Design, one of Charlotte, North Carolina’s most popular boutique marketing design firms. In 2009, Ms. Flontek won the coveted “Student Marketing Entrepreneur Award” while a student at Appalachian State University. Before joining the GLC/CLC organization, Ms. Flontek was the public relations/marketing assistant to the Director of Marketing at The Washington Times.


Naresh Mirchandani

Naresh Mirchandani serves as Chief Financial Officer of the Company and a director of the Company. Mr. Mirchandani has more than 20 years of experience in high volume financial administration and negotiations with a particular expertise in the areas of commercial and residential mortgage financing, mergers and acquisitions, tax abatement, budgetary planning and management, and government loan negotiation. As corporate controller for a domestic and offshore marketing firm, Mr. Mirchandani oversaw a budget of more than $180 million annually. Mr. Mirchandari was commissioned by the United States Bankruptcy Court Trustee’s office to successfully develop a case against MCI, Inc., which the telecommunications giant was forced to settle for more than $7.5 million. A graduate with honors from India’s University of Bombay, Mr. Mirchandani also has a Masters of Business Administration from the Duke University Fuqua School of Business.
